1. Signing in with Google
To use ExamBD you sign in with your Google account (Google Sign-In through Firebase Authentication). We do not ask for or store a password. When you sign in, we receive and store:
- your name, as shown on your Google account
- your email address
- your Google profile photo link
- a user ID created by Firebase for your account
- the date you joined and when you last signed in
We do not collect your phone number, contacts, location (GPS), photos, files or payment information.
2. Exam results
When you finish an exam, the app saves your result: exam name, score, total marks, number of correct, wrong and unanswered questions, time taken, and date. This is used to show your result history (“আমার ফলাফল”) and to rank you on the merit list.
3. Merit list (leaderboard) — visible to other users
4. Information processed automatically
- Our server. The app loads questions from https://exambd.website. The server may keep ordinary connection logs (IP address, date, time, page requested) to operate and protect the service.
- Firebase Analytics (Google). Used to understand how the app is used and to fix problems. It may process an app instance identifier, device and operating-system details, language, general location derived from IP address, and events such as screens opened and exams started or finished.
- Google AdMob (advertising). ExamBD shows banner ads and an ad when the app opens. AdMob may process your device’s advertising ID, IP address, device information and how you interact with ads, to deliver, measure and limit ads — including personalized ads where your device settings and consent allow it. We do not send your name, email address or exam results to AdMob.
5. How we use information
- to let you sign in and keep your account
- to show exams, calculate scores and save your results
- to publish merit lists for each exam
- to see participation statistics (for example, how many users took an exam) and improve the app
- to show and measure advertisements, which keep ExamBD free
- to keep the service secure and prevent misuse
6. Where data is stored and who it is shared with
Account and exam data are stored in Google Firebase (Authentication and Realtime Database, Singapore region). Google acts as our service provider and processes this data on our behalf under its own terms: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Advertising data (section 4) is processed by Google AdMob under Google’s policies: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not give your name, email or exam results to advertisers or data brokers. Apart from the merit list described in section 3, we do not make your information public. We may disclose information if required by law.
7. Security
All data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Database access rules allow each user to read and write only their own profile and history; merit lists can be read only by signed-in users. Only the ExamBD administrator can access the admin panel.
8. How long data is kept
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Profile and exam results | Until you delete your account |
| Server connection logs | Only as long as needed for security and operation |
| Firebase Analytics data | According to Google’s retention settings (up to 14 months); it is not linked to your name or email |
| Advertising data (AdMob) | Kept by Google according to Google’s advertising policies |
9. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:
- In the app: open the menu (☰) or tap your profile photo → “অ্যাকাউন্ট ডিলিট” (Delete account) → confirm. Your profile, results, history and merit-list entries are deleted immediately.
- Without the app: submit a request at https://exambd.website/delete-account.php. We delete your account and data within 7 days.
You can also sign out at any time from the app menu.
10. Your advertising choices
On your Android device you can reset or delete your advertising ID and turn off ad personalization in Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads). Users in regions where consent is required (such as the EEA and UK) are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.
11. Children
ExamBD is intended for students and job seekers aged 13 and above. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The new effective date will appear at the top of this page.
